John Mills
Chief Financial Officer
Travelocity

John Mills has never bought into the idea of the stereotypical finance guy - but don't let the calm, cool and collected disposition fool you. Rising through the ranks of Travelocity's parent company Sabre Holdings, John was named Travelocity's CFO in July 2005 and is responsible for financial management of Travelocity's North America and Asia businesses. His day-to-day to-do list ranges from budgeting and investor relations support one hour, to strategy development, cost control initiatives, business/investment analysis, and credit card processing, the next.

Prior to joining the Travelocity team, John held vice president positions in Sabre's emerging business and Airline Solutions units. His responsibilities ranged from finance functions associated with growth and profitability of new business ventures and recent acquisitions to the financial management of the company's $225 million airline software reservations and consulting business.

John earned a master's of business administration from Rice University's Jones Graduate School and a bachelor's of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Favorite travel moment:
"A summer day in Waikoloa, Hawaii, in 2004. I went snorkeling with my wife and five-year old daughter and saw sea turtles and hundreds of different fish. My daughter's amazement and excitement every time she saw something new made it so much more fun and gave me memories I will have the rest of my life. We capped the day off by sitting on chaise lounges and watching the sun set on the ocean."
